Betsey Johnson Styled Shoot | Silver Street Studio

Betsey Johnson Styled Shoot | Silver Street Studio

I am beyond excited to share these images, but to be honest, I am the worst with words, and if I tried to express the awesomeness that this is,  I would probably not do it justice, so I am going to borrow Hanna’s words from Loose Ends Event Design, she says it best! Our Betsey Styled Bridal Shoot will be published by Borrowed and Blue in August.  Also, I should warn you that this post will be the most inspiring wedding blog you will ever read/look at, guaranteed! LOL,

“This shoot was born out of the re-branding of Renegade’s remastered focus on design, “Empowering woman to visually communicate their essence, both purely and unapologetically.” There is no better way to showcase that kind of feminine force than Betsey Johnson’s brand. Which stands for originality, pops of color and lots of attitude. We chose to break the design into two parts. The girly, floral-y, big bowed side that we all have in us, some buried deeper than others. Then the empowered, leather wearing, use of mixed-media to stand out in the crowd kind of gal. Both are so very valuable and should be seen and expressed in whatever that means to you personally. The idea started with three vendors and grew to a full team effort! Each vendor needed to be someone who could express this kind of empowering use of color and print. Loose Ends Event Design loved stepping out the day-to-day styles and doing something so very different. The floral table was topped with a bubble gum pink tablecloth from LBL and a handmade runner by Renegade. With the help of LBL we decided to do a different style of seating at this particular table. We took a square table and set the place settings at an angle. This gave us much more room for floral on the middle and on one whole other side of the table as well. Once Bramble & Bee’s floral full of bright and happy flowers were added we were all swooning. The goal with the place settings was to not take away from the already full table but instead add pieces that would only add to the overall look. The chargers and flatware from LBL were the perfect base of gold and the handpicked floral plates, from Re’Luv’d, were the ideal touch of sweet femininity. The pink glasses, the two-toned bow napkins, and the name cards really pulled in the pink and purple of this table together. Then we have the funky, mixed-media table. This was a blast to play around with, how often do we as wedding professionals get to use such fierce pattern mixes and bright colors?! The black with light sequins was the ideal background for this soon to be full of attitude table. Again, we used the gold chargers and flatware but this time we used the truly outrageous sponge gold chargers for more texture. The napkins, along with some of the other pieces used in this shoot was handmade and designed by the gown designer as well. This gorgeous pop art like fabric was placed on a simple white plate with gold trim next to the orange glasses, also from Re’Luv’d. To really add a cherry on top the laser cut name cards, made by Riley Elizabeth Designs, on this table were also the yellow floral fabric from Renegade with a glitter clip for more pizazz. Lastly, the compote vase on this round table setting was so full of life and color it encapsulated the rebel that is inside us all.The entire shoot was designed around the ever full of spunk dress, Abilene, so when the Dru came out in per perfect top bun by Tease HTX and was placed next to the tables we knew we had created something powerful. The second dress, Charolette Louise, worn by Brittany was such a nice contrast to Abilene, as this dress stands for all things truly boho. Loose curls and a perfect floral crown made for the perfect storm. Heflin Photography along with Love Captured Productions did such an impeccable job of capturing the fun energy we were all feeling that day.We could go on and on about the pop-art cake made to perfection by A Cake Maker, sign in floral display by Mococulture, the perfect backdrop to our spunk that is Silver Street Studios, & the crown we all drooled over and more from The White Glove Boutique; but in the end every piece of the shoot came together to truly showcase the truly wild and carefree character that is Renegade and is all of us”
